A girl can never have too many shoes, that idiom is so so true! Especially with these fabulous shoes from Ni Luh Djelantik. With its top-notch material, NLD has paved its way from Bali to Hollywood and attracted celebrities like Cameron Diaz, Julia Roberts, Uma Thurman and Gisele Bundchen. ANODINE (Free Animated Typeface for AE) from nicolas lichtle on Vimeo.

Now here’s a typeface that puts a smile on my face. Anodine is so vibrant and fresh for a straight-lined font. And the animation by Nicolas Lichtle combined with the music by Peppino di Capri creates a beautiful combination. Doesn’t that wiggle in the type just make you want to get up and dance? If you are looking for a highly styled and highly versatile typeface, check out the type foundry Hoefler & Frere-Jones. Browsing through their catalog of type made me ooh and ahh. And its no wonder that H&FJ has been making a splash since the early 1990s developing type for big clients like Rolling Stone, Harper’s Bazaar,  Martha Stewart Living, Esquire, Tiffany & Co., Nike, Inc and The New York Times. And along with their stellar client list, H&FJ has won a hand of full awards like the prestigious Gerrit Noordzij Prize given by the The Royal Academy of Art. You maybe spend a little more for one of their collections, but it’s like buying a classic black dress: it would be in your closet for ever. I’ve got my eye on all their type but particularly Landmark, Hoefler, Idlewild and Tungsten. – Lizzie Britton

So it seems like cat videos are getting a whole new look. And I got the cat craze on my brain! Maybe it was because the Acro-Cats were just in Asheville or that Vimeo has a series of unique cat videos right now, but I can’t get enough of these adorable-yet-sassy creatures. Personally, I have two cats that make my life a lot more entertaining. There would be more too if it wasn’t for my more sensible husband! Happy Cat Friday! – Lizzie Britton

For the Easter weekend I took a trip to the Black Forest in southern Germany to see to see my sister in Freiburg. It is such a cute little city, surrounded by beautiful nature and filled with gorgeous old houses and churches and tiny, specialty shops. My favourite one was one that sells old wood and iron detail ware like street signs, house number signs, metal balls, hooks, keys, buttons, and letters made out of paper board. – Julia
